Lime Mortars Plasters and Renders

Working exclusively within the medium of non-hydraulic Lime we undertake all projects using site slaked quicklime. These ‘hot lime’ mixes allow full breathability to your building.

Pembrokeshire is predominately made up of stone-built buildings. These are in the main of random rubble with a mixture of stone types, both porous and non-porous ranging from slate types to Old Red Sandstone.

Unfortunately, over the years many of our fine vernacular and greater houses within the county have suffered from inappropriate repairs and alterations with the incorrect materials resulting in continual damage to the fabric of the building and also loss of traditional features. The main culprits have been the use of cements to the walls, tanking material, modern plastic paints and gypsum plasters. This has created an environment for water ingress, moisture, condensation and damp.

Please contact us if you feel that you would like us to get involved in any project that you are undertaking. We have over the years built up a great portfolio of works, maintaining in all instances the correct Vernacular styles of Pembrokeshire.
